Christine Loveless

Listening to residents, working collaboratively, and putting our community first.

Meet Christine

In 2017, my family chose to make Marengo our home. Growing up in Hampshire, I always appreciated the values and sense of community that come with small-town living, and Marengo offered everything we were looking for: a welcoming community with the charm and character that makes a small town special.

Since moving here, I've been committed to giving back to the community that has given so much to my family. I coordinate the Marengo Makers Market at Calvin Spencer Park, bringing together local businesses, artisans, and residents to support one another and strengthen our local economy. I also participate in Beautify Marengo through the Adopt-a-Street program, helping keep our community clean and beautiful. And as the owner of a home-based cottage food operation, I understand the challenges and rewards of running a small business.

Our family continues to build lasting friendships and deep roots here in Ward 4. Marengo isn't just where we live. It's our home. I'm committed to listening to residents, working collaboratively, and helping ensure our community remains a place where families, businesses, and future generations can succeed.

My Commitments to Ward 4

If elected, I will serve with transparency, accessibility, and a commitment to putting our community first. My priorities include:

Being Accessible

Host "Coffee and Conversation," a monthly meet-and-greet at a different local business each time, giving Ward 4 residents a casual opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and discuss the issues that matter most to them.

Keeping You Informed

Attend City Council meetings and communicate important information to Ward 4 residents in a clear, timely, and easy-to-understand way.

Listening to Residents

Be approachable and available to hear your concerns, answer questions, and work toward practical solutions that benefit our neighborhood and community.

Staying Involved

Continue coordinating the Marengo Makers Market while becoming even more involved in community events that bring residents together and support local businesses.

What I Bring to the Table

I believe effective leadership is built on experience, integrity, and a willingness to listen. Here's what I bring to the role:

I believe every decision should be guided by facts, thoughtful discussion, and what will best serve our community today and in the future.
